Locals are telling me that access to Birkdale Station is an issue that needs to be addressed.
If you’ve ever circled the car park for a spot or battled the kiss ‘n’ ride queues, you already know the problem.
The lack of facilities is forcing commuters onto congested roads and side streets, or to avoid using rail services altogether.
Labor promised to upgrade the parking and set-down facilities in 2020, but forgot to fully fund and actually get on with delivering the project.
Now, I’m fighting for additional funding to get these upgrades delivered and improve access to the station for our community, but I need your help to do it.
