Everyone deserves to be safe in their own home, but right across Queensland our communities are still under siege from Labor’s Youth Crime Crisis.
Our stronger Adult Crime, Adult Time laws are starting to work, but the next step is tightening up bail laws.
Too many kids are getting bail. Too many kids are committing serious crimes while on bail.
Too many of these youth criminals are being arrested and going before the courts only to be bailed and carry on their merry way, committing more serious crimes.
That’s why we are fighting for Breach Bail, Go To Jail laws for Queensland.
We will always put the rights of victims ahead of the rights of offenders, unlike Labor who plan to unwind Adult Crime, Adult Time and raise the age of criminal responsibility, so youth criminals aren’t responsible for their crimes.
We know there is more work to be done to reverse a decade of decline under the former government, whose weak laws left us a Youth Crime Crisis.
This is why we are fighting for stronger bail laws to end the revolving door of youth crime.
