Let's bring a Manufacturing Hub to Maryborough
Dear friends and neighbours,
Maryborough has a long and proud manufacturing and engineering history, from rail and heavy industry through to the skilled local businesses that continue to power the Fraser Coast and Wide Bay. As the Queensland Government rolls out Manufacturing Hubs across regional Queensland, I want Maryborough included in that rollout so local manufacturers can access hands‑on support, training, technology and business development right here at home.
A Manufacturing Hub in Maryborough would also send a powerful message to our young people: that they don’t have to leave town to build a future. It would help create strong, well‑paid local jobs, support apprenticeships and skills development, and give young families the confidence to stay, work and raise their children in the community they love.
